At Haus on the Hill, we offer a selection of classic Austrian cakes, cookies, pastries, and our famous pretzels — all baked in small batches right in our home kitchen. Our focus is on high-quality, natural ingredients and balanced flavors that let the authenticity shine through.
We update our menu seasonally and occasionally introduce new specialties. Many of our products are available both made-to-order and at select markets.
Haus on the Hill is more than a bakery — it’s a bridge between two homes, a celebration of tradition, and a labor of love.

Montpelier Farmers Market
- Montpelier, VT
The Montpelier Farmers Market is open all year round.
For the Summer season you find us at 133 State Street, Montpelier from May until October on every Saturday from 9AM-1PM.
For our Winter season come to the Alumni Hall, VCFA Campus, 45 College St., on every 1st and 3rd Saturday from December until April, 10AM-1PM.
We also have a Thanksgiving Holiday Market at the Montpelier High School Gymnasium, 5 High School Drive. Please check the Capital City Farmers Market homepage for more information.

You can find a selection of Austrian desserts at the market on the bread island opposite from the vegetables. We also have an assortment of cakes in the refrigerator in the back of the store near the coffee bar. Our usual delivery days are Tuesday and Friday but sometimes I drop off aditional goodies on other days as well.
